The RoHS Directive of January 27, 2003 restricts the use of certain hazardous substances within new electrical and electronic equipment introduced onto the EU market from July 1, 2006 (except certain applications that are listed in the Annex of the directive). The restricted substances are lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
Our objectives are to reduce the amount of waste material generated by continuing to re-cycle, and to reduce of the amount of harmful substances in electrical and electronic equipment and materials in line with the requirements of the RoHS directive.
All Plastic and Aluminium enclosure materials used in Gainta standard enclosures fulfil the requirements of RoHS directive.
